Who We Serve...

City Care's breakfast program, which began in 1992, primarily serves homeless individuals and the working poor. Our food basket program reaches a larger group including homeless, elderly, disabled individuals on a fixed income, and families with children.

How City Care Is Addressing Hunger...

With the help of more than 70 volunteers, City Care serves more than 4,000 meals each month. We average 150 guests per day for our hot breakfast and when possible, we provide a sack lunch for those who are working. We have approximately 100 food basket recipients weekly.

City Care serves an estimated 95,000 meals annually through our food outreach. In 2004, City Care provided its one millionth meal and we are well on our way to reaching two million.

City Care's partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is a critical source for low-cost food for our needy clients. We also partner with area churches for our annual Souper Bowl (each NFL Super Bowl Sunday) to raise funds for the breakfast. Please click on News & Events to find out more about Souper Bowl.

Volunteers...

We believe our special mission is to show encouragement to people who have been thrown away by society and by themselves. We see the dire needs of the people in the inner city, and we constantly seek ways to creatively meet those needs.
The volume of food served in our breakfast outreach also created a need for more people power as we continue to be staffed primarily by volunteers. For more information on volunteering, please visit How I Can Help.

Your Support...

Oklahoma City's social services are improving but the need is still there. Private donations are needed to meet the need for food and supplies to feed the homeless and impoverished. Please help today by clicking Donate Now.
